Adriane Howell is a Melbourne-based writer and arts worker. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing. She is also co-founder of the literary journal Gargouille.

Her debut novel, Hydra (Transit Lounge), was released August 2022. It was shortlisted for the 2023 Stella Prize and the 2023 Readings New Australian Fiction Prize.

She is represented by Martin Shaw of Shaw Literary.
